Personal History
Michael S. Koslow was raised to believe that if something’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right. Growing up in a working-class family, he learned early the importance of hard work and personal responsibility. Those values guided him into the Air Force and later into a career keeping our country safe as a national security expert. Now, he’s ready to take that same commitment to service and put it to work for the people of District 26.
Michael’s journey took him across the globe in defense of American ideals, but he never lost sight of what mattered most: protecting the people at home. He has worn many hats: conflict veteran, federal agent, university professor, small business owner, but the common thread has always been in service of the American public, service to the country, service to the community and service to transparency and the truth.
Michael’s career gave him a front-row seat to the challenges facing working families, veterans returning to civilian life, and small businesses struggling under government red tape. These aren’t headlines to him — they’re realities he’s lived alongside his neighbors. That’s why he’s running for Congress: to bring common sense, accountability, and a public servant’s heart to Washington on behalf of District 26.
Community Service
Michael Koslow is not just a lifelong public servant; he’s a family man and an invested member of his local community. He lives in Los Angeles County, where he has spent decades committed to service both in and out of uniform. As a father and a neighbor, he understands the daily challenges faced by working families in California’s 26th Congressional District, from rising costs to concerns about safety and opportunity.
Throughout his career, Michael has consistently sought out ways to support community-based leadership and youth development. He has served on the Executive Board of the Boy Scouts of America in Ventura County, helping to guide programs that build character, civic responsibility, and leadership skills in the next generation. His commitment to mentorship extends beyond the boardroom; he has been a visible supporter of programs that uplift veterans, small businesses, and underserved communities.
Michael’s passion for service is rooted in personal responsibility and a belief in strengthening the institutions that form the backbone of American life: family, faith, education, and community. His leadership is not something he simply brings to Washington; it’s something he’s already repetitively demonstrated here at home.
A Lifetime of Service
Michael Koslow’s career has always been about one thing: service. From leading airmen in uniform to fighting government corruption in federal law enforcement, Michael has dedicated more than four decades to protecting our country and its people.
Military Leadership
As a highly decorated veteran and retired California State Command Chief Master Sergeant in the California Air National Guard, Michael was responsible for more than 4,300 service members across 13 military locations statewide. He oversaw missions that included over-water rescues, fighter interceptor squadrons, space operations, and intelligence efforts that kept Americans safe at home and abroad.
Shaping National Policy
Michael’s service didn’t stop at the operational level. In Washington, DC, he advised senior Department of Defense leaders on world-wide strategy and policy. Here in California, the Governor and Adjutant General entrusted him with major initiatives in defense planning and disaster response. He also represented the U.S. abroad, working with Ukrainian officials through the Partnership for Peace program to strengthen international security.
Fighting Fraud & Corruption
Concurrently and after retiring from the military, Michael continued his service as a Senior Special Agent with the Defense Criminal Investigative Service. He led investigations into billion-dollar defense contracts, military contractors, and healthcare institutions, working side by side with the FBI and other federal agencies. His mission was clear: protect taxpayers, stop corruption, and make sure every dollar went where it was supposed to.
Educator & Advisor
Michael has also shared his expertise as the counterintelligence advisor to the U.S. Space and Missile Systems Command and as a guest instructor at the Defense Acquisition University, training the next generation of national security leaders. He is currently assisting congressional and local civic leaders with complex policy-related issues and resolutions to difficult problems.

Why I'm Running
For more than four decades, service has meant protecting this nation—whether leading airmen into complex missions, safeguarding taxpayers from corruption, or defending America’s security on the global stage. That same sense of duty now drives a new mission: to deliver accountable, principled leadership for California’s 26th District.
Washington has lost its way. Too often, politicians chase headlines instead of solutions, and partisan battles take priority over the challenges families face every day. Rising costs, public safety concerns, and a government that too often forgets those it serves demand leadership rooted in results, not rhetoric.
This campaign is about restoring accountability and integrity to Congress. Leadership requires more than speeches; it requires the courage to stand up to entrenched interests, the experience to navigate complexity, and the judgment to put people above politics. Those are lessons forged over a lifetime of service—in uniform, in federal law enforcement, and in the private sector.
The people of this district deserve a representative who answers to them: veterans and first responders, parents and teachers, small business owners and working families. They deserve a voice in Washington who understands sacrifice, honors responsibility, and delivers results.

Leadership
My leadership philosophy aligns with the military mantra: "Mission first, people always." It has been a guiding principle in my life, reminding me to focus on the task at hand while never losing sight of the importance of the individuals who make it all possible.
Leadership is not an inherent trait but one nurtured over time. Over the years, I have made it a point to understand diverse leadership styles, adapting my approach to different situations and individuals. I've learned that people are the most important part of any organization and that treating everyone fairly and respectfully is paramount.
American Ideals and Values
As your candidate for Congressional District 26, I am dedicated to upholding the core American ideals and values that have shaped our nation since its inception.
America is not a democracy in the traditional sense, but a constitutional republic focused on individual rights. The essence of American values lies in providing every individual with equal opportunities to thrive, grow, and live fearlessly. I see the primary role of the central government, as ensuring security and safety, without undue interference in daily life.
I champion the American ideal that everyone should have equal rights and the freedom to choose their vocation or profession. I firmly hold to the capitalistic mentality that hard work and diligent study can lead to prosperity and success.
Moreover, I fervently believe in preserving the rights outlined in the Bill of Rights, such as freedom of speech and freedom of the press. These freedoms are granted to individuals, not the government, and should be safeguarded at all costs, and I am ready to stand firm for these principles.
Transparency, accountability, and a grassroots effort are at the heart of my campaign. I believe in common sense solutions that prioritize the needs of the people and promote independence and self-reliance. It is essential to restore trust in our government by being honest, forthright, and committed to serving the best interests of the American people.
Accountability
In public office, accountability isn't a suggestion. It's a requirement. I hold myself, especially in public office, to the highest standards of accountability. For me, accountability rules out personal interests or agendas in decision-making. Any actions driven by personal reasons or for attention, compromise accountability. True accountability, I believe, is a reflection of personal integrity.
Problem Solving
I am dedicated to being a solution-oriented leader. Instead of getting mired in political rhetoric, I believe in making real, impactful progress. This involves implementing effective solutions, continually refining them based on real-world outcomes, and always focusing on the long-term benefits for Californians.
From homelessness to various societal issues, I've observed a pattern where political leaders announce initiatives, but often fail to track their effectiveness over time. This approach lacks accountability and foresight. It's important to initiate a program and refine it, assess its impact, and ensure it works as intended. My track record of producing results, often behind the scenes and without self-serving interests, speaks for itself.
Restoring Common Sense Statesmanship
What sets me apart is my commitment to authentic statesmanship. A passion for public service drives me. I've been told I have a commanding presence that resonates with diverse audiences and a message that transcends political divisions. I aim to restore California's status as the "Golden State," ensuring prosperity and opportunity for all.
